iFLY Basic - Gold Coast

Our “iFLY Basic” is our basic package for those wanting to try Indoor Skydiving for the first time.  Your instructor stands right beside you as you step into the chamber for two flights, each with the freefall time of a standard skydive from 14,000 feet.

The customer experience

• Arrival 1 hour prior to make sure your waiver is filled in and your belongings are put away in the free lockers.
• 30mins prior to your flight you will go into a class training session with your instructor to learn about body position and stable flight.  Your instructor will then help you gear up and give you ear plugs.
• You will then go in for your flight session. Each flight is 50 seconds, the same as a REAL skydive.  It’s very windy and noisy in the tunnel, so your instructor will show you hand signals to improve your body position. Your instructor will be by your side at all times to keep you safe. Don’t forget to smile for the camera!
• When you exit the tunnel afterwards, you will de-gear and your instructor will give you your flight certificate.  This is a good opportunity to look at photos and videos you would like to purchase

Please advise staff if you:

• Have a previous history of shoulder dislocation
• Suffer from neck or back or heart conditions
• Are under 180cm and your weight is over 105kg or; over 180cm and your weight is over 115kg

What to Bring

All fliers must wear lace-up sports or running shoes and comfortable casual clothing that can be worn under their flight suits.  Shoes can be hired for a $5 per person charge

Entire experience takes 1 hour 45 mins from check-in to leaving the facility

Our lessons run for 1 hour - with instructor and includes all equipment. Photos are taken by the instructor both on and off the water and these are included as well.

What to bring….

• Swimmers/boardies, a rash vest or a T-shirt
• Hat & waterproof sunscreen, drinking water
• Personal Floatation Devices (PFD) are required for non swimmers. Go Vertical will gladly supply one or you can bring your own.

If you wish to wear sunglasses on the water please bring a secure strap to ensure you don’t donate them to the sea life.

Get wet surf school - Gold Coast

Our 2-hours group experience takes place in waist deep water with only 6 participants for each fully qualified surf instructor/surf life savers (children’s ratio is only 4 per instructor). Our instructors are very patient, are in the water with you the entire lesson and assist each person one by one until you are confident, ensuring the lesson fun, easy and fun. We offer a free shuttle from Surfers Paradise and all equipment is included- Surf board, full cover sun suit for summer or wet suit for the winter and Mandarin speaking instructors also available by appointment.

The description for our 2 hour beginner surf experience is:
Adult Lessons - 2 hours
•Minimum age 12 – must be strong enough to carry and hold their own surf board
•1 instructor per 6 students ( class sizes vary but ratio always the same)
•Available at 10am and 1pm all year
•Additional availability Summer
•All equipment supplied with the option of full sun coverage

Children’s Lessons - 2 hours
•Children 6 and 12 years of age
