iFLY Basic - Gold Coast

Our “iFLY Basic” is our basic package for those wanting to try Indoor Skydiving for the first time.  Your instructor stands right beside you as you step into the chamber for two flights, each with the freefall time of a standard skydive from 14,000 feet.

The customer experience

• Arrival 1 hour prior to make sure your waiver is filled in and your belongings are put away in the free lockers.
• 30mins prior to your flight you will go into a class training session with your instructor to learn about body position and stable flight.  Your instructor will then help you gear up and give you ear plugs.
• You will then go in for your flight session. Each flight is 50 seconds, the same as a REAL skydive.  It’s very windy and noisy in the tunnel, so your instructor will show you hand signals to improve your body position. Your instructor will be by your side at all times to keep you safe. Don’t forget to smile for the camera!
• When you exit the tunnel afterwards, you will de-gear and your instructor will give you your flight certificate.  This is a good opportunity to look at photos and videos you would like to purchase

Please advise staff if you:

• Have a previous history of shoulder dislocation
• Suffer from neck or back or heart conditions
• Are under 180cm and your weight is over 105kg or; over 180cm and your weight is over 115kg

What to Bring

All fliers must wear lace-up sports or running shoes and comfortable casual clothing that can be worn under their flight suits.  Shoes can be hired for a $5 per person charge

Any client weighing 95kg or more must be assessed by our Drop Zone Safety Officer on site to determine safety issues due to harness size restrictions and weather conditions. Weight charges payable on arrival:

Flyboarding

The Fly Board is a singular experience that cannot be duplicated on any other craft and best of all, our friendly, experienced staff at Gold Coast Watersports are confident they can get most people doing basic manoeuvres in under ten minutes.

● A training/briefing session is conducted on the land prior to entering the water. This may take 10mins

● Client will wear a lifejacket and helmet

● Duration in the water is 10 min each when included in a package.

● Must have basic swimming skills. Refunds will not be approved for non swimmers

● Minimum age is 12yrs old

● No pregnancies or injuries. We suggest doctors clearance for injuries prior to booking

● Arrival is 15mins prior to session time

Gold Coast Watersports Parasailing Tandem (2 person)

Once you are high enough to touch the clouds, the skipper will follow the thermals across the Broadwater to ensure you have a memorable, magical parasailing flight. There is nothing quite like flying, so be prepared to feel your cares slip away as you drift softly on the warm air currents and drink in the gorgeous views below.

While you are in the air, you will have 360° views ranging from the Surfers Paradise skyline to South Stradbroke and WaveBreak Islands and around to the mountains of the Gold Coast hinterland, including Springbrook and Tambourine Mountains. There is usually plenty to see in the water as well, as schools of fish, pelicans and other water birds are in abundance on the Broadwater. Our clients have reported spotting bottle-nosed dolphins, sea turtles and even the odd dugong in the past.

You can fly tandem or solo, but we recommend tandem because the experience is so special you will want to share every moment. Parasailing is the perfect activity for shared memories, which makes it a wonderful outing for friends, families and couples.

Parasailing is a disability-friendly activity. We can easily accommodate the needs of a guest with impairment to ensure they have the opportunity to experience the wonder of flight, and the beauty of the Gold Coast area.

We know we provide the best parasailing experience on the Gold Coast because we only use fully trained staff and the very latest in equipment. That’s why we know your adventure will leave a smile on your face. We also provide exciting packages that combine parasailing with jet ski, jet boat, fly board or sea plane hire.

Parasailing

● Client will be on the boat for up to 1.5hrs

● Flight time is 8 minutes in the air

● Clients leave and return to the back of the Parasail boat

● Clients can choose to have their feet skimmed in the water for some extra fun ( highly recommended )

● Up to 8 other customers on the boat at the same time

● Minimum age to fly is 6 years old

● 11yrs and under must fly with an adult

● Minimum weight for solo is 60kgs

● Arrival is 15 mins prior to session time

● Max weight combined for Tandem or Triple is 200kgs

● Noinjuries. We suggest doctors clearance for injuries prior to booking

● We do require a minimum number of pax to run a boat therefore changes to booking times may occur
