Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL) to Southern Cross Station

Melbourne City Express picks up and drops off kerbside at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL) and in the heart of Melbourne City at Southern Cross Station.

For departing SkyBus  will:

  • Pick you up in the following 3 Melbourne Airport Terminals

o    Terminal 1: Qantas domestic and QantasLinks travellers

o    Terminal 3: For Virgin Australia, Regional Express, and all international flights

o    Terminal 4: For Jetstar and Tigerair domestic passengers 

  • And drops off at Southern Cross Station (Bay 51)
  •  Complimentary Free City Hotel Shuttle

And for returning back to airport Skybus will:

  •  Pick you up at Southern Cross Station (Bay 75)
  • And drops off in the following 2 Melbourne Airport Terminals

o    Terminal 1 

o    Terminal 3

SkyBus Melbourne City Express operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year including public holidays. On average it takes 25 minutes between airport and the Southern Cross Terminal.

TIME TABLE

  • SkyBus departs every 10-15 minutes between 6:00AM and 9:30PM
  • SkyBus runs half hourly or hourly at other times

HOTEL TRANSFER SERVICE: 

  •  As a SkyBus passenger, we can transfer you to select accommodation from our city terminal. You do not need to book the SkyBus Hotel Shuttle. Please note, due to road restrictions, at-the-door drop off is not possible for all hotels.
  •  For your convenience, the SkyBus Hotel Transfer Service operates:

            Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 22:30

            Saturday, Sunday:06:00 - 19:00

            Check in at the Hotel Transfer Booth on arrival at Southern Cross Station.

  • Due to traffic restrictions during major events, SkyBus Hotel Transfer service is not available to and from venues next to major sporting events including Etihad Stadium, Docklands.

    The restriction period takes effect 90 minutes before the scheduled start of the event, 30 minutes before the scheduled finish time and 90 minutes after the end of the event.

    During major events, it’s a good idea to use trams and trains to and from these areas to connect with the SkyBus service at Southern Cross Station.

For departing SkyBus  will:

  • And drops off in Southbank Docklands at 4 convenient locations:

 SkyBus Southbank Docklands Express operates seven days a week, 365 days of the year, with a weekday frequency of 30 minutes.

  • Weekday frequency of 30 minutes.
    • Airport to Docklands & Southbank: first bus at 06:00 AM and last bus at 07:00PM
    • Docklands & Southbank to Airport: first bus at 06:45 AM and last bus at 07:45 PM
  • Weekend frequency of 60 minutes.
    • Airport to Docklands & Southbank: first bus at 06:00 AM and last bus at 06:00PM
    • Docklands & Southbank to Airport: first bus at 06:45 AM and last bus at 06:45 PM
