A highlight of your stay in Byron Bay will be this ocean adventure padding up close with dolphins, whales and turtles in Cape Byron's Marine National Park and learning the local Aboriginal stories and sacred places.
You will also have a great view of Byron's coast line and the Byron Bay lighthouse from the water.
Your Tour Program:
1. Your 3 hour kayak tour will start at Byron Bay beach
- Meet all your fellow paddlers
- Pair up on the 2 person kayaks
- Learn the basics of paddling a sit-on-top kayak
2. Then we hit the ocean
- Impress your friends (and yourself, just quietly) getting out past the shore break
- Learn about local Aboriginal stories and sacred places
- Paddle along The Pass surfing Mecca, Wategos millionaire row and Cape Byron, Australia's most Easterly point
- Keep an eye out for those cheeky dolphins, whales when in season and turtles popping up for a breath of fresh air
3. Take a Break
- Yummy refreshments and a swim
4. Paddle back to the main beach

- GoSeaKayak tours are in Cape Byron Marine Park.
- No experience is necessary, our expert guides teach you all you need to know.
- Tours are daily All Year departing at 9:30am and 2:00pm.
- Meet at our trailer opposite 56 Lawson St. Byron Bay 20 minutes before your tour time.
- We can also pick you up from your accommodation at no extra charge. NOTE: Please be aware that Byron Bay is a little town with BIG traffic problems, if you are within 1km of us you will walk a lot quicker to us than the time it takes for us to pick you up and drive to our location.
- All safety gear provided, wetsuist provided in cooler months free of charge.
Booking conditions
- Tour is subject to whether conditions.
- Please bring: Bathers - Towel - Sunscreen - Small Water Bottle and Cap
- If using own transport to get to tour please aim at arriving 20 minutes before the scheduled tour start
- Children under 5yrs old may be too young to cope with such tours. You will be on the water or a considerable amount of time.
- Women more than 15weeks pregnant should consider the safety risks prior to booking such tours, we advise against kayaking after this stage of pregnancy.
- There is free unrestricted parking on the roadside at our location - 56 Lawson Street Byron Bay. Please be aware of parking restrictions in other parts of Byron Bay.
Other conditions
- Please be aware we operate on NSW Daylight Savings Time between October - April each year.
- Child Rates apply to children aged 5-14 years. Children under 5 years old are not permitted to undertake such tour. Child must be accompanied by at least one adult.
- Cancellation Policy: 95% refund for cancellations up to 6pm the day prior to the tour. After this time there will be a 100% cancellation fee. No refunds given for 'no show'.
